The Fourth Command
“Remember the Shabbat day, to set it apart.
“Six days you labor, and shall do all your work,
but the seventh day is a Shabbat of Yahuah your Alahiym. You do not do any work – you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates.
“For in six days Yahuah made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore Yahuah blessed the Shabbat day and set it apart.
Shamuth (Exo.) 20:8-11
Do I Have to Keep Shabbat?
YES, if you choose life over death.
If you want to follow or consider yourself to be a follower of Yahuah Alahiym, who in six days made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day, you will GUARD the Shabbat as though your life depends on it because your life does depend on it, according to Shamuth (Exo.) 31:14-16; and Bamidbar (Num.) 15:32 -36.
I thought I don’t have to keep Shabbat anymore. Isn’t that old?
The Shabbat is Yahuah’s everlasting sign/mark for those whom love Him and guard his commands.
Exo 31:16 ‘And the children of Yashara’Al shall guard the Shabbat, to perform the Shabbat throughout their generations as an everlasting covenant.
Exo 31:17 ‘Between Me and the children of Yashara’Al it is a sign forever. For in six days Yahuah made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed.’ ”
Shamuth (Exo.) 31:16-17
Let’s see how Yahuah feels about those who profane His Shabath (1:35 mark in the audio clip below).
Yahuah wanted to wipe the children of Yashara’Al from the face of the earth because they “greatly profaned” His Shabaths!
Ezek 20:10 “So I took them out of the land of Matsriym, and I brought them into the wilderness.
Ezek 20:11 “And I gave them My laws and showed them My right-rulings, ‘which, if a man does, he shall live by them.’
Ezek 20:12 “And I also gave them My Shabaths, to be a sign between them and Me, to know that I am 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 who sets them apart.
Ezek 20:13 “But the house of Yashara’Al rebelled against Me in the wilderness. They did not walk in My laws, and they rejected My right-rulings, which, if a man does, he shall live by them. And they greatly profaned My Shabaths. Then I said I would pour out My wrath on them in the wilderness, to consume them.
Ezek 20:14 “But I acted for My Name’s sake, not to profane it before the gentiles, before whose eyes I had brought them out.
Ezek 20:15 “And I Myself also lifted My hand in an oath to them in the wilderness, not to bring them into the land which I had given them, flowing with milk and honey, the splendor of all lands,
Ezek 20:16 because they rejected My right-rulings and did not walk in My laws, and they profaned My Shabaths. For their heart went after their idols.
Ezek 20:17 “And My eye pardoned them, from destroying them. And I did not make an end of them in the wilderness.
Ezek 20:18 “And I said to their children in the wilderness, ‘Do not walk in the laws of your fathers, nor observe their rulings, nor defile yourselves with their idols.
Ezek 20:19 ‘I am 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 your Alahiym. Walk in My laws, and guard My right-rulings, and do them.
Ezek 20:20 ‘And set apart My Shabaths, and they shall be a sign between Me and you, to know that I am 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 your Alahiym.’
Yachazaq’Al (Eze.)20:10-20
Doing Work on the Shabath is a Death Sentence.
Exo 31:14 ‘And you shall guard the Shabath, for it is set-apart to you. Everyone who profanes it shall certainly be put to death, for anyone who does work on it, that being shall be cut off from among his people.
Exo 31:15 ‘Six days work is done, and on the seventh is a Shabbat of rest, set-apart to 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄. Everyone doing work on the Shabath day shall certainly be put to death.
Exo 31:16 ‘And the children of Yashara’Al shall guard the Shabath, to perform the Shabath throughout their generations as an everlasting covenant.
Exo 31:17 ‘Between Me and the children of Yashara’Al it is a sign forever. For in six days Yahuah made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed.’ ”
Shamuth (Exo.) 31:14-17
A Shabath Breaker Stoned to Death
Num 15:33 And those who found him gathering sticks brought him to Mashah and to Aharon, and to all the congregation.
Num 15:34 And they put him in under guard, because it had not been declared what should be done to him.
Num 15:35 And 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 said to Mashah, “The man shall certainly be put to death, all the congregation stoning him with stones outside the camp.”
Num 15:36 And all the congregation brought him outside the camp and stoned him with stones, as 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 commanded Mashah, and he died.
But what about Yahusha, didn’t He perform miracles and healings on the Shabath?
Yes, He did!
The Pharisees inquired this too of Yahusha, face to face with the wickedness of heart, in MathathYahu (Mat) 12:10-13; regarding whether or not Yahusha should heal the man who had a withered hand on Shabbat. Yahusha responded, “it is right to do good on the Shabath.” More specifically, the account states:
10 And see, there was a man having a withered hand. And they asked Him, saying, “Is it right to heal on the Shabath?” – so as to accuse Him.
11 And He said to them, “What man is there among you who has one sheep, and if it falls into a pit on the Shabath, shall not take hold of it and lift it out?
12 “How much more worth is a man than a sheep! So it is right to do good on the Shabath.”
13 Then He said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” And he stretched it out, and it was restored, as healthy as the other. – MathathYahu (Mat) 12:10-13.
Yahusha is the’ Master of Shabath.’ He never did and never will break or teach others to break Shabath.
Mat 12:8 “For the Son of Aḏam is Master of the Sabath.
Mat 5:17 “Do not think that I came to destroy the Torah or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to complete.
Mat 5:18 “For truly, I say to you, till the heaven and the earth pass away, one jot or one tittle shall by no means pass from the Torah till all be done.
Mat 5:19 “Whoever, then, breaks one of the least of these commands, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the reign of the heavens; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the reign of the heavens.
MathathYahu (Mat) 5:17-19
If your pastor taught you that the Shabath was done away, he or she is not of Yahuah
