Because of Your Tradition

Mat 15:1 Then there came to 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏 scribes and Pharisees from Yarushalam, saying,
Mat 15:2 “Why do Your taught ones transgress the tradition of the elders? For they do not wash their hands when they eat bread.”
Mat 15:3 But He answering, said to them, “Why do you also transgress the command of Alahiym because of your tradition?
Mat 15:4 “For Alahiym has commanded, saying, ‘Respect your father and your mother,’ and, ‘He who curses father or mother, let him be put to death.’
Mat 15:5 “But you say, ‘Whoever says to his father or mother, “Whatever profit you might have received from me has been dedicated,”
Mat 15:6 is certainly released from respecting his father or mother.’ So you have nullified the command of Alahiym by your tradition.
Mat 15:7 “Hypocrites! YashaYahu rightly prophesied about you, saying,
Mat 15:8 ‘This people draw near to Me with their mouth, and respect Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me.
Mat 15:9 ‘But in vain do they worship Me, teaching as teachings the commands of men.’ ”
Mat 15:10 And calling the crowd near, He said to them, “Hear and understand:
Mat 15:11 “Not that which goes into the mouth defiles the man, but that which comes out of the mouth, this defiles the man.”

Mar 7:1 And the Pharisees and some of the scribes assembled to Him, having come from Yarushalam.
Mar 7:2 And seeing some of His taught ones eat bread with defiled, that is, with unwashed hands, they found fault.
Mar 7:3 For the Pharisees, and all the Yahudiym, do not eat unless they wash their hands thoroughly, holding fast the tradition of the elders,
Mar 7:4 and coming from the market-place, they do not eat unless they wash. And there are many other traditions which they have received and hold fast – the washing of cups and utensils and copper vessels and couches.
Mar 7:5 Then the Pharisees and scribes asked Him, “Why do Your taught ones not walk according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashed hands?”
Mar 7:6 And He answering, said to them, “Well did YashaYahu prophesy concerning you hypocrites, as it has been written, ‘This people respect Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me.
Mar 7:7 And in vain do they worship Me, teaching as teachings the commands of men.’
Mar 7:8 “Forsaking the command of Alahiym, you hold fast the tradition of men.”
Mar 7:9 And He said to them, “Well do you set aside the command of Alahiym, in order to guard your tradition.
Mar 7:10 “For Mashah said, ‘Respect your father and your mother,’ and, ‘He who curses father or mother, let him be put to death.’
Mar 7:11 “But you say, ‘If a man says to his father or mother, “Whatever profit you might have received from me, is Qarban (that is, a gift),” ’
Mar 7:12 you no longer let him do any matter at all for his father or his mother,
Mar 7:13 nullifying the Word of Alahiym through your tradition which you have handed down. And many such traditions you do.”
